Doing the old city from here
Charminar, Laad Bazaar, Mecca Masjid and Chowmahalla Palace are the reason most people come to Hyderabad, and they deserve whole days rather than a rushed afternoon. What you will not want is to sleep in the middle of all of it.
We are about 3.5 km away, roughly fifteen minutes by auto. That puts the old city within easy reach in the morning and leaves you on a quiet residential lane at night, which is a combination the hotels closer in cannot offer.
A day that works
Salar Jung Museum first, about ten minutes from here, and give it longer than you think. It is closed on Fridays. Charminar and Laad Bazaar after lunch, when the bangle shops are properly open, and Chowmahalla Palace if you still have energy.
Come back through Koti or Sultan Bazar, both walkable from the hotel, if you want to shop without the old-city crowds. Old-city lanes are narrow, so cabs usually stop a short walk from the monument itself.
