Himayatnagar is where Hyderabad goes to eat. The main road is lined with restaurants, bakeries, cafes and shopping, and it stays busy well into the night. It is a great place to spend an evening and a difficult place to sleep.
We are about 2.5 km away, roughly ten minutes by auto or Uber. Spend as long as you like on the main road, then come back to a residential lane where the loudest thing at night is nothing at all. That is the whole idea of staying here instead of on the strip.
What is on the main road
The stretch runs from Basheerbagh towards Narayanguda and packs in everything from old-school Hyderabadi places to bakeries, cafes and street food. Shopping runs alongside it, and most of it stays open late.
Hyderguda and Basheerbagh sit on the same axis, so if your work is at one of the offices around Basheerbagh you can eat your way home afterwards.
Getting between the two
An auto takes about ten minutes and Uber or Ola shows a live fare in the app. Autos are available on our lane at most hours, and the front desk will book a cab for you if it is late.
Allow a little extra time between six and eight in the evening, when the main road is at its busiest.
