A business stay in central Hyderabad
Basheerbagh means offices. LIC, banks, government departments and the press are all concentrated in a few blocks, and a lot of business in this city still gets done there in person.
We are about 2.5 km away, roughly ten minutes by auto or Uber. Close enough that a morning meeting does not start with a forty-minute commute, at a rate a finance team will approve without a conversation.
The work setup
Every room has a work desk and 1 Gbps WiFi, and the connection is the thing business guests mention specifically in reviews. One wrote that the reliable high-speed WiFi was essential for video calls, which is the only review line about internet worth having.
Tata power backup runs behind the whole building, so a cut does not end a call. The Prime rooms at 225 sq.ft give you a dressing area and more desk space if you are here for several days.
German soundproof windows and a residential lane mean the room is actually quiet enough to take a call from, which is not true of most centrally located hotels.
Getting to Basheerbagh and back
An auto or Uber takes about ten minutes, with the live fare in the app. Hyderguda and Himayatnagar sit on the same stretch, so dinner after work is easy on the way back.
Allow extra time between six and eight in the evening when that road is at its heaviest. The Green Line metro at Sultan Bazar and Osmania Medical College, both a ten-minute walk from the hotel, is often faster at peak hours.
